Meet our team

Dr. Goutam Mukherjee, usually referred to as Dr. G, got his veterinary degree in India in 1986. After Vet School, he pursued a scientific career and earned his M.S. in Cellular Immunology, and Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Montana State University. Then he did his postdoctoral residency in Comparative Pathology at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute. Dr. G loves NE Alabama and all its fields, flowers, trees and animals. He is passionate about the well being of dogs and cats. He has been writing for Alabama Living magazine for the last 3 years and many of his articles lean heavily towards ways to solve possible throw-away dogs and cats and their suffering and maybe ways to solve this problem for our DeKalb and Marshall County.

Julie

Julie is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and the Practice Manager for High Falls Vet. She is also Dr. G’s life partner. They have been practicing medicine together for almost 20 yrs. She and Dr. G are the proud parents of 3 cats and 3 dogs, 3 of which were rescued locally! Julie’s favorite part of working at the clinic is connecting with pets and their people. When Julie gets free time, she divides it between her herbal/nutrition studies, playing with horses and generally being outdoors.

Jasmin

Jasmin has been with High Falls Vet since day one! She is our all around go to girl who excels whether it's in surgery, reception or helping Dr.G in rooms. She has a special connection with animals and it's not surprising that visiting pets really like to be around her! She is also a phenomenal artist able to bring a pet to life on canvas!

Eve

Eve is on the fast track to becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician, soon to attend Jefferson State after high school. She varies her time at the clinic between reception, rooms and with more of an emphasis in surgery assisting. Her favorite part of working at High Falls is learning new things every day from Dr.G and Julie. Eve enjoys the satisfaction of working hard to ensure pets and their people have the best vet experience possible!

Haylie

Haylie chose veterinary assisting as a career path because her connection with animals has always been a constant in an ever changing world. She says working at HFVC gives her the opportunity to experience new things every day while making a difference in the lives of pets and their people, through sharing and education. Haylies attention to detail and efficiency make her the ideal team member to keep the reception running smoothly.

Trinity

Trinity is our Social Media Extraordinaire! She keeps our people and pet fans up to date on our latest happenings, specials, raffles, lost pets and informative blogs! Trinity is also to thank for building this wonderful website and we at HFVC, are very grateful to have her!

Jessica

Jessica’s open friendliness and compassion for people make her a wonderful assistant to DR. G in rooms. Her care for the pets in surgery and recovery is thoughtful and caring. Her favorite part of working at High Falls vet is being able to help people and their beloved pets while working together to achieve their best care.
